I am a muslim, first and foremost. I am an American, proud of my adapted homeland, my chosen mother. I am a Pakistani, honored and aware of my roots, culture, and values. I am a student, confused and bashed, yet committed and confident. I believe, and I inquire and question everything before believing it. I appreciate beauty, of soul, of mind, of colors, of darkness, of shades, of sounds and of tranquility. These are my words, harsh, brutal sometimes, but nothing short of the purest and sincere-most feelings of mine towards issues I and many others encounter.
Even if the light at the end of the tunnel is of an oncoming train, I believe in making something out of it that could help me, like, I don’t know maybe hop on the train and get the hell out of that damn tunnel? We humans will never stop fighting on land, beliefs, wealth and women. I say, do so, but after being around for some 50,000+ years, isn’t it time we changed our ways of fighting? Does elimination of the opponent guarantee a long term victory? I believe in rooting out the cause, taking out the cancer itself, rather than clipping offshoots and prescribing painkillers.
And I love 12 bar blues, the smartest girl in the whole world, and thai food.
